Dirty Bingo
PS Underground
Palm Springs, CA
A scandalously hilarious bingo brunch where good taste checks out at the door and bad decisions take center stage. There is nothing like this in Palm Springs… or anywhere else with a liquor license.
Welcome to Dirty Bingo, the only event where signing a waiver isn’t optional, it’s a warning. If you’re easily shocked, clutch your pearls somewhere else. If not… buckle up. “Raunchy” doesn’t even begin to cover it. We’re talking outrageously inappropriate songs, jaw-dropping antics, and a cast of unfiltered characters proudly parading their quirks, kinks, and zero shame for your entertainment.
And yes, there’s actual bingo. But forget sweet little old ladies and polite applause. These games come with prizes that are as naughty as the jokes, guaranteed to make you blush, cackle, and question your life choices in the best way possible. Think church bingo… if the congregation ditched the hymns for leather, lace, and a safe word.
SUGGESTED DRESS: The louder, trashier, and more unapologetically extra, the better. Sequins, feathers, fishnets, bow ties, glitter, glow, sparkle and flash. If it screams “look at me,” you’re doing it right. Subtlety is not invited.
"Cabaret performances should leave an audience having learned something and they should be moved emotionally. Macofsky played to an overflowing SRO attended house, and gave 100%. Cheers throughout and a roar filled standing-ovation gave the star something to be extremely proud of. He blew the applause meter apart just from his first entrance. The exquisite and exceptionally executed storytelling, song revue of popular hits from the year 1963 did not disappoint. With a combo of piano, bass, drums, and electric guitar they accompanied toe tapping and chair bopping tunes that made you feel so damn good. Discoveries, inventions, trends, and pop culture fads were properly researched for his patter. Various artists of the day were remembered and highlighted. There was even a more personal look into the private family life of Tod Macofsky. This wonderful time travel added levels of storytelling perfection to the proceedings. Macofsky is skilled at taking stage and owning every moment, every lyric, with pure honest truth... even when he is confronted with a zany novelty number. The epitome of versatility. This sincerely funny and adept moving cabaret act has legs. I know 1963 will be seen in many more venues because of its feel-good music, and heartfelt, thought provoking, storytelling thread."

Macofsky as Applegate leads the laughter in this production. He is devilishly charming in the role. He masterfully plays Applegate’s over-the-top eccentricity. His one solo number “Those Were the Good Old Days” brings down the house.
Jason Mannino (Stage and Cinema)
Macofsky as Applegate deliciously chews the scenery with every fiber of his being for a non-stop exceptional performance. Dripping with charisma he manipulated and maneuvered his way through every scene. Immaculately dressed he was a slick salesman with the wildly exaggerated cartoon attributes of Bugs Bunny, the petty childish qualities of Jack McFarland (Will & Grace), and the quick temper of Donald Duck. His comedic ability is superb and guarantees the immediate ownership of this devilish role as his very own. Many funny people have played this role Ray Walston – who originated it on Broadway, Whoopi Goldberg, and Jerry Lewis, however, Macofsky gave a new kind of smooth talkin’ unctuous that blew the rest of those hacks out of the water. He also stopped the show with his sensational rendition of “Those Were The Good Old Days”
